iGaming Agency: British Startup Rebrands Amidst Confusion with India Gaming Association

A British online gambling startup, initially known as Affili8, has undergone a name change to iGaming Agency (iGA). This new title unfortunately closely resembles the pre-existing India Gaming Association (IGA).

Established in 2020 within Stockton-on-Tees by seasoned professionals Chris O’Rourke, Richard Paget, and Chris Sutherland, iGA has undergone swift expansion. They credit this achievement to a multitude of marketing partnerships secured in past months, furnishing clients with search engine optimization, sponsored search results, platform marketing, partner marketing, and text creation services. These arrangements are projected to push iGA beyond its year-two earnings goal of £500,000 ($604,000).

At the outset, the enterprise aimed to construct an affiliate system for the wagering sector, promoting gaming platforms and sports betting sites. However, founder Chris O’Rourke stated that “economic pressures” steered them towards securing numerous consulting customers instead.

“As we began pursuing this direction,” O’Rourke elaborated, “our name, Affili8, caused significant confusion among prospective clients, as they didn’t anticipate us offering SEO and other solutions. iGaming Agency, as a business title, is a clear brand name that clarifies our primary service offerings. We are currently active in 16 nations and are pleased that our dedication and efforts have yielded results in such a brief period.”

This British fledgling company believes a rebrand is urgently required, though if “iGaming Agency” will alleviate uncertainty or simply generate more within the UK market is yet to be determined.
