A major force in sports data and technological solutions, Sportradar, has named Behshad Behzadi as its new Chief Technology Officer and Chief AI Officer. A well-known expert in artificial intelligence, Behzadi joins the company after a successful tenure at Google, where he was instrumental in developing their AI approach.
In this position, Behzadi will oversee the incorporation of AI and other leading-edge technologies into Sportradar’s products and services. The objective? To significantly enhance the fan experience through customized content and analysis.
Behzadi’s distinguished career spans more than twenty years, during which he made substantial contributions to Google’s commitment to prioritizing AI. In his most recent role, he directed Google Cloud’s efforts in conversational AI and applied generative AI, concentrating on solutions for customer support and operations within large corporations.
Carsten Koerl, Sportradar’s CEO, conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the appointment, emphasizing Behzadi’s international recognition as a pioneer in utilizing generative AI and other advanced technologies. He stressed Behzadi’s unique combination of technical proficiency and business insight.
