A Danish platform for sports news, Tipsbladet.dk, has been purchased by Better Collective, a gaming organization specializing in sports, for €6.5 million (roughly $6.9 million USD). This purchase aligns with Better Collective’s plan to grow its presence in the Danish sports media sector.
The agreement, a cash transaction without debt, will be executed in three phases. Better Collective will utilize its own resources to finance the acquisition and anticipates a post-synergy EBITDA multiple below 5x by 2024. This purchase is not anticipated to affect the company’s 2023 financial objectives.
Tipsbladet, a respected sports media entity with a 75-year legacy, has effectively evolved from a conventional print publication into a contemporary digital platform. As of October 2, 2023, Tipsbladet.dk will formally integrate into Better Collective, joining the Danish company’s expanding portfolio.
