Catena Media is purchasing Dreamworx Online, a firm based in Germany specializing in sports wagering, casino games, and financial products, for €9.5 million. The transaction involves Catena disbursing €4 million of the sum through newly issued shares, while the balance of €5.5 million will be paid in cash.
Dreamworx Online manages platforms such as Sportwettenanbieter.com, Fussballwetten.info, and DeutscheFXBroker.de. Catena Media anticipates that these holdings will produce approximately €600,000 in revenue each quarter with a profit margin of 80%.
This acquisition will be integrated into Catena’s sports unit, which is overseen by Baybets, an entity Catena acquired in December 2017.
Henrik Persson Ekdahl, serving as acting CEO of Catena, remarked that Dreamworx’s assets will reinforce their standing as a top affiliate in Germany, strategically placing them for the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and subsequent events.
The finalization of the deal is projected to occur by the months end.
