Aristocrat Leisure Posts Record Profits in 2023 Driven by Strong Gaming Machine Sales and Global Expansion

The gaming behemoth, Aristocrat Leisure, has announced outstanding financial performance for the fiscal year 2023, exceeding profit projections.

The corporation’s after-tax net earnings surged to an impressive $1.33 billion AUD, marking a substantial increase of more than 20% from the preceding year. This remarkable achievement was driven by robust revenue expansion, reaching $6.3 billion AUD (equivalent to roughly $4.1 billion USD), and an exceptional EBITDA of $2.1 billion AUD.

Although expansion fluctuated across various segments of the business, all indicators suggest a flourishing and robust enterprise. Notably, Aristocrat observed a surge in earnings from the Americas, particularly in North America, which experienced a considerable upswing due to a 26% rise in direct gaming machine sales. This triumph in North America was further amplified by a significant 8% growth in the deployment of their well-received Class III and Class II gaming machines, surpassing an impressive 64,000 units.

Contributing to this positive trajectory, Aristocrat witnessed expansion in its Class III gaming operations throughout Asia and Europe. This upswing aligns with the global gaming industry’s resurgence, particularly in Macau, where October revenue witnessed an astonishing 400% year-over-year surge as pandemic limitations eased.

Despite these favorable outcomes, Aristocrat’s stock price encountered a minor decline in recent trading, mirroring the wider market volatility.

In the last twelve months, Aristocrat has been actively expanding its reach – forging new alliances, bringing in new talent to their executive ranks, and launching captivating new offerings. Their year has been nothing short of exceptional, culminating in a robust financial showing. They even secured a significant sponsorship agreement: their gaming machines will be the exclusive devices of the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix in the coming days!

Chief Executive Trevor Croker expressed immense pride in the company’s accomplishments, emphasizing the strength and variety within their product portfolio. He also conveyed optimism about the times ahead, citing the steadiness of the sectors where Aristocrat conducts business.

Adding to the positive developments, Aristocrat recently received accolades at the Global Gaming Awards in Las Vegas, garnering three esteemed honors.
